I am always looking for a new tailgating recipe. Something that travels well, tastes great and is easy to make. Here’s a recipe that I love, Bacon Cheddar Cheese Balls. Bacon Cheddar Cheese Balls Recipe
What’s needed?
- 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese
- 1 packet of dry Ranch Seasoning mix
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 2 3-ounce packages of bacon bits
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
How to make Bacon Cheddar Cheese Balls?
- Begin by chopping the green onions. Set them aside.
- Put the softened cream cheese in a large bowl. Add the packet of ranch seasoning and mix thoroughly with a fork.
- Add the green onions, shredded cheddar cheese and one package of bacon bits. Mix well.
- Divide this mixture into two equal amounts. Form a ball from each portion. Pour the second package of bacon bits onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Roll each ball in bacon bits until covered.
- Wrap each ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. You can keep them in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Put the cheese balls in a plastic bag and place them in your cooler on game day. Serve this cheesy treat with your favorite crackers or fresh sliced veggies. Each cheese ball serves about 8 people. Let the tailgate party begin!
