BBQ Chicken Sliders

Published on March 28, 2018 by Raveaboutfood

Having friends over to watch some basketball during March Madness? BBQ Chicken Sliders are great little sandwiches to serve to friends during the big game. They are easy to make and so flavorful. Shredded rotisserie chicken with BBQ sauce, a dill pickle and cheddar cheese makes these sliders affordable and tasty. They are a slam dunk in my house!

BBQ Chicken Sliders

These BBQ Chicken Sliders are made with only 7 ingredients. They turn golden brown and slightly crunchy in the oven. The melted cheese makes them comforting and delicious. And the dill pickle is the perfect pop of tangy flavor that makes these bite size sandwiches so yummy.

BBQ Chicken Sliders Recipe

What’s needed?

  • 16 pack King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • 1/2 of a rotisserie chicken, bones removed and shredded
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce is a good choice.)
  • 12 dill pickles
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese (or 1 cup shredded cheddar)
  • 6 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon of dry Ranch Dressing mix

How to make BBQ Chicken Sliders?

  • Slice the rolls horizontally, cutting the top half of the rolls off. Place the bottom half of rolls in a 13×9 baking pan.
Bottom portion of rolls.
  • Add the cooked chicken to a large pan and add the BBQ sauce. Stir until combined and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture over the rolls in the pan to cover. Spread evenly over all rolls.
  • Add a dill pickle to the top of each slider, there should be 16 total.
  • Cover the chicken mixture and pickles with large slices of cheddar cheese or shredded cheddar.
Add BBQ chicken, pickles and cheese.
  • Place the bun tops over all.
  • Mix the melted butter and the dry ranch dressing mix in a small bowl until combined. Brush the butter mixture over the sliders before baking in the oven.
Brush with butter.
  • Bake the sliders at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese and lightly brown the rolls.

Pull the sliders apart and serve them on a platter. This recipe makes 16 servings. I served them with fresh veggies, Ranch Dip and French Fries. They were gone in no time! This recipe gets you out of the kitchen fast so you can spend more time with friends watching the game.
