Caramel Pecan Bars Recipe

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups pecans, chopped

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Begin by making the caramel. Add the butter and brown sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Remove the saucepan from the stove.
- In a large bowl, mix the eggs, vanilla, and butter mixture until combined.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour and the baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir in the pecans.
