Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
These mouth-watering cookies are a variation of the traditional Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. I’ve added some peanut butter and oats to the dough and used both mini semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips to make these Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. Double the chocolatey goodness…YUM!
This cookie has a nice combination of white and mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. A little bit of oats added to the recipe makes them more substantial. Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are great for an afterschool snack or a grab-and-go treat for the little ones in your life.
How can I add protein to my cookies?
Adding peanut butter is a great way to add protein to recipes. I’ve added some to this recipe and it makes the cookies delicious. It also gives them more protein and makes them a good choice for an after school treat for kids who are headed out the door to a sporting event. If you’re not looking to add calories, use a low-sugar peanut butter for your recipes. These cookies are satisfying and tasty!

- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter

How to make Double Chocolate Chip Cookies?
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Set aside. Using a stand mixer, beat the butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add the vanilla and eggs. Mix until blended.
- Add the dry ingredients in small amounts until all is combined. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips.
- Using a 1 1/2-inch scoop, place large balls of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. This recipe makes about 20-22 cookies depending on the size of your scoop. Each cookie is about three inches wide when baked. If you want smaller cookies, remember to reduce your baking time accordingly.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 13-14 minutes. Cookies will be lightly golden brown. Remove cookies from the oven and allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
Remove cookies from the cookie sheet and store them in an airtight container. You will want to make a second batch because the first one will be gone in a flash! Happy baking!
