Frozen Peach Smoothie
I spent some time this morning freezing the rest of my peaches from the Georgia Peach Truck. Five bags of sliced peaches to use for recipes throughout the fall and winter…love it! As a reward for my efforts, I decided to make a Frozen Peach Smoothie. We make them often and they taste so refreshing! Only four simple ingredients and about 200 calories, you just can’t beat it!
The flavors in this Peach Smoothie are the perfect way to start the day with a fruit-filled, healthy drink. The combination of frozen peaches, vanilla yogurt and almond milk is nutritious and simply delicious! Add half of a banana to make it extra thick and creamy. This is a favorite Saturday morning smoothie for us. It’s quick and gets us out the door fast to begin our day with smiles on our faces.
Peach Smoothie Recipe
What’s needed?
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 2/3 cup almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 5.3 ounces vanilla Greek yogurt
How to make a Frozen Peach Smoothie?
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 1 minute on high. Turn blender off and remove the lid. Pour the smoothie into a glass. Serve cold.
Pour this smoothie into your favorite glass or an insulated tumbler if you are on the run, and enjoy! Creamy, smooth and delicious! Smoothies are super easy to make and so nutritious.
What can I add to my smoothie?
- ICE– You can add ice to your smoothie to make it cold if you are using fresh peaches, but remember that this will make your smoothie thinner in consistency because you are essentially adding water. This is why I like to use frozen peaches to make a thick and creamy smoothie.
- GRANOLA– I love adding crunch to my smoothies. I often add a tablespoon or two of crunchy granola to my smoothie after blending to add some crunch to this naturally sweet smoothie.
- FRUIT– Add fresh or frozen pieces of fruit to the top of your smoothie. When you get to the bottom of the glass you have a pop of fruit flavor just waiting for you.
- PROTEIN POWDER– Make your breakfast drink a SUPER smoothie by adding a scoop of protein powder while blending. Check the label on the package for the amount needed for one serving.
My family has always enjoyed smoothies for breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack. And why would you pay an outrageous amount of money for a smoothie at the drive-thru when it takes only minutes to make it yourself? Give this recipe a whirl and you’ll have a smoothie that is healthy and tastes great!
