Quick and Easy Deviled Eggs
It just wouldn’t be Easter without these quick and easy Deviled Eggs. A recipe that takes less than 30 minutes and pairs well with any main dish. I’ve also included tips on how to make that perfect hard-boiled egg. Garnish them with a bit of smoky paprika to make them pretty and tasty!
How to make a perfect hard-boiled egg?
Making perfect hard-boiled eggs is key to making this recipe tasty and pretty. It isn’t hard. Here’s how I do it:
- Place your eggs in COLD water in a medium saucepan. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and allow the eggs to sit in the pan of hot water for another 8 minutes.
- Run very cold water over the eggs to cool. Crack and peel them under running water. The eggs turn out perfect every time.
Deviled Eggs
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs, hard boiled and cut in half lengthwise
- 3 tablespoons mayonaisse
- 2 tablespoon dill relish
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- pinch of salt and pepper
- smoked paprika to garnish
How to make deviled eggs?
- Cut your hard-boiled eggs in half and place them on a plate. Remove the yolks and add them to a small bowl.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Using a teaspoon, fill each egg with a spoonful of filling.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of smoked paprika or fresh dill sprigs. Recipe makes 12 deviled eggs.
Deviled eggs can be made a day ahead and kept covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Any leftovers you have can be turned into egg salad sandwiches or a garnish for salad.
