Texas Sheet Cake is a classic cake that was made popular at church potluck dinners around the country. Raise your hand if your mother had a cookbook from church that was her pride and joy? My mother sure did. She made notes and wore out the pages in that cookbook. And for good reason, they were amazing recipes from the best home cooks.
This White Texas Sheet Cake recipe is one of those recipes. Word spread quickly among Texas housewives about this cake made in a sheet pan that was easy to prepare and served a crowd. Cut into bars, this cake makes 20-24 servings. Moist and sweet, Texas Sheet Cake has earned its place among classic cake recipes.
