Ingredients
2tablespoonscanola oil
3 1/2poundsbeef chuck roast, boneless
1teaspoonsalt and pepper
1teaspoonItalian Seasoning
1medium yellow onion, chopped
1yellow pepper, chopped
1green bell pepper, chopped
1red pepper, chopped
6ounceswhite button mushrooms, chopped
1/3cupketchup
1/4cupWorcestershire Sauce
6ouncesbeer, about 6 ounces
2cupsprovolone , or mozzarella cheese
10Kaiser rolls
Instructions
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the sides and bottom of your slow-cooker. Season your roast with salt, pepper and Italian Seasonings on both sides and lay it in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Chop and add the peppers, onions and mushrooms to the slow-cooker, along with the ketchup and Worcestershire Sauce.
Pour the beer over all. Add another teaspoon of salt and pepper on top of the vegetables and cover with a lid. Cook on high for 6 hours.
Use a fork to shred the beef. Stir with the vegetables and cook for another hour. Add the cheese and cover until cheese is melted.
Serve the beef on Kaiser or Italian hoagie rolls. Recipe makes 10 sandwiches.
